The core elements of prepared leadership.

The Prepared to Lead Program is delivered in three modules, each comprising two workshops that last 2.5 hours with ample time in-between to integrate the concepts. From there, our coaches help take the philosophy from theory to practice.

Module 01

Influence

Leaders will identify the missing link in leadership and examine the relationship between respect,
trust, and popularity. We will explore the erosion of trust and
examine ways to build trust in each other and organizationally.

Differentiating between tyrants and leaders, participants will learn the value of replacing intimidation with inspiration. They will learn the importance of shifting their instruments of influence from the authority of their status to the power of their personal leadership stature.

Consisting of one Lapin coach
and five participants, this first session will provide the space to unpack and personalize the concepts that were taught in the workshops. Coaches will also encourage participants to experiment with individual actions that can improve their performance.

Module 02

Integrity

Leaders will map their three core value-drivers into a system. This exercise will start the thinking around personal beliefs and alignment to organizational values.

Participants examine the gap between stated values and actual behavior. They learn how defensive responses can undermine leadership and how to close that gap through greater ownership and accountability.
 

Keeping the same group and Lapin coach, we will build on the rapport that has been established and use the time to concretize each participant’s first three value-drivers.

Module 03

Practice

Participants learn how to approach difficult conversations in a way that creates change rather than defensiveness. They practice asking better questions, listening for what matters, and responding with clarity under pressure.

Leaders will be encouraged to collaborate on one big initiative that can make a meaningful difference to the organization. This will present a real time opportunity to practice some of the capabilities developed during the Prepared to Lead program.

This concluding session will be an intimate discussion where participants will share with each other what they have learned and how they have implemented these ideas. They will be
able to share what challenges they have faced and what challenges they anticipate facing as they go forward. The participants in these smaller groups will become a support system for one another which will positively impact the long-
term effects of the program.

When leaders know themselves deeply, they do not merely manage change—they become an anchor within it. And when leaders are anchored, organizations can move forward with confidence, clarity, and courage.
